Public Advisory: SUSPENSION OF CONSULAR OPERATIONS IN AREAS AFFECTED BY SUPER TYPHOON KARDING

25 September 2022 – Due to inclement weather caused by Super Typhoon Karding, the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA in Aseana) announces the temporary suspension of operations on 26 September 2022 (Monday) in the following Consular Offices (COs) and Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) sites:

The public is further advised of the following guidelines on rescheduling of affected appointments:

 

  1. Affected Passport applicants scheduled at the aforementioned Consular Offices may be accommodated within 30 days from their original passport application schedule.

 

To be accommodated, applicants must present their confirmed application packet which shows that their original schedule is on 26 September 2022.

 

  1. Applicants scheduled at affected TOPS sites will be advised of their new schedule via email.

 

Applicants may also refer to the email addresses of the corresponding supervising Consular Offices of TOPS sites on the table above. Applicants are advised to also check their Spam Inbox or Junk Mail for the email regarding their new schedule.

 

  1. Affected Authentication applicants with confirmed appointments at DFA-Aseana will be accommodated on the following date:

An email will be sent to the concerned Authentication applicants to confirm their new appointment schedule. Please print out the new email with your new schedule and bring your documents for authentication on your new appointment date.

 

  1. Affected Authentication applicants with confirmed appointments in other COs will be accommodated within 30 days from the 26 September 2022.

 

Affected applicants must present their confirmed appointment packet which shows that their original schedule is on 26 September 2022.

The Department advises the public that DFA COs and TOPS sites will strictly adhere to declarations and announcements regarding the suspension of government work made by Local Government Units. DFA also urges the public to prioritize their safety and adhere to safety and precautionary measures set in place during the typhoon.
