Public Advisory on the Suspension of Consular Operations for 25 and 28 August 2023

PARAÑAQUE CITY, 18 August 2023 – The Department of Foreign Affairs informs the public that operations in DFA Aseana, DFA Consular Offices (COs), and Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) in the National Capital Region and the province of Bulacan are suspended on Friday, 25 August 2023, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 27 issued by the Office of the President, dated 15 August 2023, due to the conduct of the opening ceremonies of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

Furthermore, the public is informed that operations in DFA Aseana, all Consular Offices (COs), and Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) throughout the country are suspended on 28 August 2023, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 90 and in observance of National Heroes Day. Regular operations and services will resume on 29 August 2023.

Applicants for consular services with affected confirmed appointments on 25 August 2023 in DFA Aseana, Consular Offices, and TOPS sites in Metro Manila and Bulacan will be accommodated from Tuesday, 29 August 2023 to Monday, 25 September 2023.

TOPS (in Metro Manila and Bulacan) applicants will be accommodated at their respective Supervising Consular Offices (SCOs) from Tuesday, 29 August 2023 to Monday, 25 September 2023. TOPS applicants are instructed to follow the same time slot of their appointment.

Likewise, the Passport Releasing Service Center in Double Dragon Meridian Park, Pasay City will also be closed on Friday, 25 August 2023 and will resume operations on Tuesday, 29 August 2023.

FOR AUTHENTICATION APPLICANTS

1. Authentication applicants with confirmed appointments on 25 August 2023 at DFA-Aseana will be accommodated on the following dates:

The above applicants must present their confirmed appointment packet which shows that their original schedule is on 25 August 2023.

1. Authentication applicants with confirmed appointments in NCR Consular Offices (COs), particularly CO NCR-West (SM Manila), CO NCR-East (SM Megamall), CO NCR-South (Alabang Town Center), and CO NCR-Northeast (Ali Mall) will be accommodated within 30 days from 29 August 2023.

The above applicants must present their confirmed appointment packet which shows that their original schedule is on 25 August 2023.

1. Releasing of Authentication Documents at Double Dragon Plaza

Applicants may refer to their Official Receipts or Authentication Slips of the releasing date for reference. Releasing of Authentication Documents will resume on 29 August 2023 onwards.
