PRESS RELEASE: PASSPORT CONSULTATION AND COORDINATION MEETING

The Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) conducted an in-person consultation meeting on Thursday, 01 December 2022 at the 14th Floor, Bulwagang Elpidio Quirino, DFA Home Office with the Heads of the 36 Consular Offices of the country.

As the country builds on an irreversible path to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-­person consultation meeting is part of efforts of the Department to promptly return to pre­-pandemic levels in terms of consular operations. The activity is a major component of its continuing education program and aims to update all Consular Offices around the country regarding passport processing policies and procedures and to upskill them on passport and other key aspects of consular operations.

During the meeting, the Heads of Consular Offices were encouraged to find ways to further enhance the Department’s effectiveness to provide passport services to the Filipino people in a manner underpinned by integrity, efficiency and an unwavering commitment to exemplary public service.
