PUBLIC ADVISORY: ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR FALSIFIED / TAMPERED DOCUMENTS FOR AUTHENTICATION/ APOSTILLE

PARAÑAQUE CITY, 23 May 2023 – The Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Consular Affairs informs the public that submission of falsified/ tampered documents for Apostille/ Authentication including Authorization Letters, Special Power of Attorneys (SPAs) and Appointment Slips from the Online Appointment System will result in forfeiture of the Authentication Application and will be investigated and referred to law enforcement authorities.

The Department exercises zero-tolerance for all types of fraud. Document owners and representatives who will be caught filing a confirmed and verified falsified/tampered documents, authorization letters, SPAs and appointment slips will be listed under the Department’s Look-Out-List and will not be able to file and process for Authentication/ Apostille until further investigation and evaluation.
