PUBLIC ADVISORY: TEMPORARY UNSCHEDULED DOWNTIME OF THE PASSPORT APPOINTMENT SYSTEM ON 21 SEPTEMBER 2022

21 September 2022 – The Department of Foreign Affairs Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) informs the public that based on reports received from service provider APO Production Unit Inc. (APO), the Passport Online Appointment System (passport.gov.ph) experienced a temporary unscheduled downtime, here and abroad, due to equipment failure of the main power provider for the system. APO committed to restore the system within today (21 September 2022).

Please be advised that applicants who have booked appointments and/or have already paid for their appointments may also experience delays in receipt of payment reference emails or confirmation emails.

Applicants who have completed their online applications, and those who have successfully paid, are advised to wait 48 hours to receive the respective emails and to check their spam folders aside from their regular email inbox.

The DFA is working closely with APO to ensure resumption of normal services at the soonest possible time.

For any concerns, please send an email to: [email protected].

The DFA appreciates the continued cooperation and understanding of the public as we work on resolving issues in the appointment system. END
