Public Advisory: Temporary Suspension of Operations in DFA Consular Office in Tacloban

10 September 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that its Consular Office in Tacloban (CO Tacloban) will be closed on 10-11 September 2020, for disinfection of its office premises and implementation of other preventive measures to manage and prevent risks against COVID-19.

 

CO Tacloban will resume its regular operations on Monday, 14 September 2020.

 

Affected applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations must secure another appointment by emailing [email protected] with the following information:

 

– Name

– Date of birth

– Original appointment date and time

– Preferred date and time of new appointment

 

The preferred new appointment may be on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 14 September to 09 October 2020 during the CO’s regular operation hours (9:00AM to 4:00PM).

 

Applicants that need emergency or urgent consular services may contact CO Tacloban by email at [email protected] or text/call 0951-833-5246 (calls during working hours only).

 

The DFA requests the public’s understanding and cooperation as we continue to battle against this pandemic.
