Public Advisory: Suspension of Operations in the DFA Consular Office in Tacloban City

27 June 2022 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that its Consular Office in Tacloban City (CO Tacloban) will temporarily suspend its operations on Wednesday, 29 June 2022, from 12:01 PM onwards, in compliance with City Mayor of Tacloban of Executive Order No. 2022-06-013, “An Executive Order Declaring Suspension of Classes in all School Level and Suspension of Work in all Government Offices in Tacloban City on 29 June 2022, starting at 12:01 PM,” to mitigate inconveniences to the public brought about by the series of activities held throughout Tacloban City.

 

Affected passport applicants with appointments on 29 June 2022 will still be accommodated on a later date until 28 July 2022, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

Furthermore, CO Tacloban will be closed on Thursday, 30 June 2022, in observance of the local holiday by virtue of Republic Act No. 7676, “An Act Declaring June Thirty of every Year a Special Non-Working Public Holiday in Tacloban City, Province of Leyte, to be known as Tacloban Day”.
