Public Advisory: Continued Suspension of Consular Operations in Luzon Due to Extended ECQ

14 April 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that its Consular Offices in Luzon, along with the Office of Consular Affairs in ASEANA Business Park in Parañaque, will continue to suspend its operations until 30 April 2020 due to the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon.

Passport applicants with confirmed appointments from 09 March to 30 April 2020 will be accommodated at the Consular Office near them or where they made their appointments beginning 04 May 2020 until 31 July 2020, Mondays to Fridays, during business hours. Likewise, those seeking Authentication, Visa, and Civil Registration services will be accommodated starting 04 May 2020.

Passport applicants who were affected by the ECQ are reminded that there is no need to reschedule or cancel their confirmed appointments. They can also choose to go to another Consular Office instead of where they made their appointment, provided they call their Consular Office of choice first to schedule their visit.

The DFA also reminds the public that due to logistical limitations due to the ECQ, there will be some delays in the production, delivery, and availability of passports nationwide and at our Philippine Embassies and Consulates General until the ECQ period ends and the demand for passports and our logistics partners’ operations are stabilized. Passport applicants are advised to prepare contingencies for their travel plans.

Applicants with questions or emergencies may get in touch with the Consular Office where their appointment was scheduled. Alternatively, the public may email [email protected] / [email protected] or call (+63)2-8234-3488 for Passport Appointment Concerns. For Passport, Authentication, and Other Consular Inquiries, the public may call the Client Concerns Unit at (+63)977-353-3942 (Globe) or (+63)961-567-9324 (Smart).
